RMRA is excited to be offering monthly FB live education events as part of our family support and engagement efforts.

Our first presenter is Meagan Giblin, a Rett sibling and neurology nurse. See below for her presentation description.

Date: Wednesday, April 10th at 7 pm MT.

This Rett Ed is about Sibling Support. Meagan’s sister, Mariah, has Rett Syndrome. Meagan will share her own perspective and advice on how to best support parents as an older sibling. In addition, she will discuss the many challenges parents encounter while trying to manage the needs of their child with Rett Syndrome along with the needs of other siblings in the home. Getting children to understand what it’s like to have a disabled sibling is difficult, and having conversations about can be very important. The presentation will be 15 minutes long with time for Q&A.

Upcoming speakers:

May – Crystal of Loose Ends or Legacy will discuss financial planning

June – Nicole of TeamSelect will discuss waiers

July – Ellie from Respite Coalition

Please let us know if you have other speakers that you think would be great for this RettEd program.
