Adaptive toys for children with motor function issues!

One of our board members, Sarah Ahlstrom is currently attending the Pueblo Community College and she convinced her STEM class to do a special project that is near to her heart: changing toys so that children with motor function issues, such as Rett Syndrome children, can use those toys. Sarah knows this because her own daughter Zoey has Rett Syndrome. She has a very hard time pressing small buttons, but thanks to connecting cables and bigger buttons those toys can be made into adaptive toys. Adaptive toys can be very expensive, but Sarah learned to adapt toys herself with fairly cheap supplies from another Sarah - Sarah Morrison, also a RMRA board member. Sarah Morrison shows in a video how it is done - scroll down.
