Give Where You Live on CO Gives Day or Schedule Your Donation NOW

There are more than 20,000 charitable nonprofits in the state of Colorado, representing six percent of our state’s economy. In 2010, an annual, statewide movement was started where all Coloradans come together with the common goal to strengthen the community by helping to empower nonprofits. This special day is called Colorado Gives Day and is always early December. It has grown to be the state’s largest one-day online giving event, raising more than $200 million since it began in 2010.

On this one day, your donation is worth more than on any other day of the year, thanks to the $1 Million Incentive Fund provided by Community First Foundation and FirstBank. Every nonprofit receiving a donation on Colorado Gives Day will receive a portion of the fund, increasing the value of every dollar donated.

What you can do to help: You can schedule your Colorado Gives Day donations in advance NOW to be processed on Colorado Gives DAy by clicking the “Donate Now” button below.

We hope that you select Rocky Mountain Rett Association as the charity to receive funds.

Top Three Reasons Why You Should Donate to the Rocky Mountain Rett Association on Colorado Gives Day

#1: To keep the Rett Clinic at the Children’s Hospital available to all patients throughout the area

The Rett Clinic received a Center of Excellence dedication in 2017 and we are incredibly proud of having a very unique set up at our clinic. It not only combines consultation and treatment in one convenient place with up to 15 top-notch Rett specialists, but also is involved in research and trials. Dr. Benke, the Clinic Director, is convinced that the cure will happen thanks to all the efforts at the local clinics. Thanks to your generous donations in the past, we were able to start offering follow-up clinics. But the wait list is still long and it’s our goal to offer this clinic to more patients.

Please donate to keep the Rett Clinic open for the future and offer it to more children!

#2: To increase awareness for this debilitating disease so that more funds are raised

Most people have never heard of Rett Syndrome until it rules their world. Yes, Rett Syndrome is a rare disease, but it is devastating to so many families and it doesn’t receive the amount of private and public research funding like other, even lesser occurring diseases.

Spread the word and let’s raise awareness together!

#3: To support research for a cure

Studies in the lab are very promising and researchers succeeded in reversing this disease in mice. It might be the first curable brain disorder and will have implications on other neurological diseases, such as Alzheimer, Parkinson and Autism! By donating you are supporting Rett research at the local Rett Clinic at Children’s Hospital and on a national level.

Scientists are very confident, so let’s give them the funds needed!

Together, we can make Rett Syndrome history!
