RMRA’s 3rd Annual Mom & Me Magical Makeover Event

Another successful pampering event in the books! Thanks to board member Bob Shorma and program director Jessica Lindsley, RMRA offered another day of pampering for fourteen Rett moms and their daughters. Our salon host for the third time was Wildroots Salon at 291 E Flatiron Crossing Dr, in Broomfield.

Wildroots’s owner, Amanda Shields graciously opens her salon on a Sunday in order to provide the moms and girls a quiet setting to enjoy their time. Amanda’s team volunteers their services from hair expertise, skin care advice to light make up. You can see it on the faces of the girls and moms that it’s a day that makes them feel special and increases their self-esteem. Rett Syndrome is rare disease that usually requires lots of doctors and therapy appointments. The Mom & Me Magical Makeover event offers a few hours of respite filled with precious girl-pampering time!

Special recognition to sponsor, TeamSelect for their goody bags and delicious cupcakes.  Starbucks contributed free lattes for everyone.

Please visit Wildroots, a hair salon with a big heart! Thank you also to all the volunteers & supporters. We are also thanking Denver 9NEWS for coming out to our event, interviewing some families and helping us increase awareness by featuring it on the evening news.
